The Cognac region is no stranger to the evolution of activities using means of transport in keeping with our times. The challenge was quite simple: we had to find a means of transport that was fun, easy to use, but above all in keeping with the concerns of our present, the precursor of our future.
The scooter is the chosen means of locomotion ! It is electric, all-terrain, and relatively easy to handle, based on balance. They are rented by the company @Trott in Charente. There is no real age limit, as there are adapted models for the youngest (10/12 years old). There are different circuits and you can use them guided by a GPS; the circuits vary in length, but also with different starting points.
The first rental company, Trott in Charente, offers scooters with a battery in a backpack carried by the rider. As a sign of the interest in this activity, two newcomers have appeared this summer. One is located at Fontdouce Abbey, between Cognac and Saintes, and the second has been set up by the Martell Company, starting at their Galienne Distillery, a 9km circuit with a guide, which can end with a tasting. These last two proposals are based on the use of all-terrain scooters, but with an integrated battery; these are slightly more powerful machines, even if the speed is limited to 25 km per hour, but they are heavier to handle.
